NIA, Panchkula to Observe World Blood Donor Day with Camp
Panchkula, June 13 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- In observance of World Blood Donor Day, the National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula, in collaboration with Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, New Chandigarh, is set to organize a Blood Donation Camp on 14th June 2025 (Saturday) at its campus. The event is being held under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of NIA, Prof. Sanjeev Sharma.
The camp will be held from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and aims to spread awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and encourage citizens to come forward for this noble cause. The event will be graced by Sh. Amit Dahiya (HPS), Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime & Traffic), Panchkula, as the Chief Guest.
The blood donation drive is being coordinated by Dr. Ankita Negi, who emphasized the importance of donating blood regularly, especially for patients undergoing cancer treatment, surgeries, or facing emergencies. Medical experts from Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital will be managing the collection process, ensuring safe and hygienic procedures throughout.
The organizing institutions cordially invite all citizens, students, faculty and social workers to actively participate and contribute to this noble cause. As the campaign’s message reminds us — “Every drop counts. Be a life-saver!”
