Jalandhar October 30 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar is also excelling in the cultural field along with its achievements in the field of academic research and sports. Continuing the series of achievements in the cultural field, the college has set a record by winning the first runner-up trophy of the ‘C’ zone of the Guru Nanak Dev University Youth Festival. 18 colleges of Jalandhar district affiliated to the university participated in this youth festival held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. In this festival, the college participated in 36 events and won this trophy by securing 113 points.
On this achievement, Sardarni Balbir Kaur, President Governing Council, Vice President S. Deepinder Singh Purewal congratulated Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur, Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina and his entire cultural team and students were congratulated. Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur said that due to the able leadership of Sardarni Balbir Kaur, President College Governing Council and the hard work of all the staff and students, the college has consistently getting success in the cultural field along with studies. She added that Lyallpur Khalsa College is always committed to the overall development of the students.

He said that the following item wise victories have been achieved by the college:- First Place:- Bhangra, Ludi, War Singing, Folk Song, Folk-Orchestra, Skit, Ghazal, Poster Making; Second Place:- Debate, Quiz, Western Instrument Solo, Western Group Song, Group Song Indian, Group Shabad, Rangoli, Mime, One Act Play, Costume Parade, Classical Instrument (Percussion), Classical Vocal, Kavishree; Third Place:- Giddha, Choreography, Phulkari, Elocution, Clay Modeling, Painting on the Spot and Classical Dance.
He said that the student artists of the college are also ready to perform their best in the Inter-Zonal Youth Festival of Guru Nanak Dev University to be held from 07 to 10 November 2025. On this occasion Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, Dr. Rashpal Sandhu and Dr. Harjit Singh also congratulated these winning students and wished them all the best for the future.
