Jalandhar September 23 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Tejveer Singh Minhas, a student of B.Sc. Non-Medical, Semester V, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, brought laurels to the institution through his commendable performance in the National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test (NAEST-2026) and the “Joy of Physics” programme held from 12–14 September 2026 at Shiksha Sopan Ashram, Kanpur. The programme was conducted under the guidance of renowned physicist and Padma Shri awardee Prof. H. C. Verma.
After Screening test, 900 students were selected all around the Nation for prelims under junior and senior catagory Junior catagory 9th to 12thSenior category – UG and PGFor semifinal – 6 students were selected under senior catagory. Tejveer Singh Minhas is one among them, demonstrating his experimental skills, scientific aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
The participants also received valuable exposure to experimental physics and visited IIT Kanpur, including its Nuclear Physics Laboratory containing Tandetron Particle accelerator. On his return, Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, along with Dr. Narveer Singh, Head, Department of Physics, and other faculty members of the Physics Department, honoured Tejveer with a bouquet and congratulated him on his achievement. They appreciated his dedication and encouraged him to continue pursuing excellence in physics and scientific research.
