Jalandhar October 28 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Career Counselling and Placement Cell of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar organized a special lecture on “How to Prepare for Competitive Exams”. The primary objective of this lecture was to guide students in preparing effectively for competitive examinations and to instill confidence among them. The guest speaker for the session was Dr. Ajitpal Singh from the Department of Political Science, who shared valuable insights with students regarding the preparation strategies for various competitive exams such as UPSC, SSC, PCS, NET, and others. He emphasized that a well-planned study strategy, effective time management, consistent practice, and self-discipline are the key factors for success.
He also highlighted the importance of having a clear understanding of the syllabus and developing the habit of regular revision to stay ahead of others. On this occasion, Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur addressed the students and remarked that in today’s competitive era, students must develop not only knowledge but also confidence, resilience, and ethical values. She appreciated the Career Counselling and Placement Cell for its meaningful efforts toward student development and stated that such initiatives help students make informed career choices. Dr. Charanjit Singh, Convener of the Cell, provided detailed information about the various activities being undertaken by the Cell related to career development, employment opportunities, interview preparation, and skill enhancement.
