Jalandhar April 10 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- P.G. Department of Political Science, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar organized an event of mock parliament. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu was present as the chief guest, who honoured the outstanding as well as all participants with medals and certificates. He encouraged the students to look beyond their textual knowledge and establish a relationship between theory and application of learned concepts. The objective of this mock parliament was to evaluate the knowledge of participants within academics and to inculcate democratic principles and values for better understanding of political phenomena through this student-friendly platform.
Dr. Anu Kumari, Head of the Department of Political Science, informed about the scholastic excellence and competence through sound and vivid stage. She enlightened that participants from different departments of this pioneer institution performed well vis-à-vis the first speakers.
On this occasion Dr. Balraj Kaur (HOD English department) Dr. Sandeep Ahuja (Incharge BAJMC), Dr. Jaswinder Kaur (HOD Environmental science), Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina (Dean Cultural Affairs), Prof. Kuldeep Sodhi (Dean Student Welfare, Officiating), Dr. Harjinder Singh Sekhon (HOD Punjabi department), Dr. Karanbir singh, Prof. Manju Joshi, Dr. Dinker Sharma, Dr. Ravneet Kaur, Dr. Jyoti Vohra, Dr. Ajitpal singh, Dr. Sarbjit Singh, Prof. Sanjay shad, Prof. Livpreet, Prof. Aman and Prof. Zeenat were also present. Dr. Anu Kumari and other staff members thanked Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu and other faculty members as well as winning participants and emphasized the encouragement of participating candidates.
