Jalandhar October 31 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Social Sensitization Cell & NSS Unit, Lyallpur Khalsa College in collaboration with Vigilance Bureau, Jalandhar observed Vigilance Awareness week from (28th October 2025 to 2nd November 2025), on 29th October 2025 on the theme Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility. The dignitaries present on this occasion were SSP, Vigilance Mr. Harpreet Singh Mander, ADC, Urban Development, Mr Jasbir Singh, DSP, Mr. Ashwani Kumar and Social Activist Ms. Parveen Abrol. Principal, Prof. Navdeep Kaur welcomed the guests and inspired the students not to give a bribe to anyone for getting any work done so that India can come out of the trap of corruption.
Then, ADC, Mr. Jasbir Singh in his address emphasized on the need of making India corruption free in all aspects. SSP Mr. Mander shared his experiences and live examples of the various cases of corruption plaguing our society. He confidently stated that it is our shared responsibility to curb this menace. Ms. Abrol discussed various forms of corruption, reasons and explained how this issue is eroding the values in our social fabric. Then, all the present faculty members and students took a pledge that they would never indulge in any corrupt activities.
At last, Dr. Balraj Kaur presented vote of thanks to esteemed dignitaries. Prof Amita Shahid, Convenor Social Sensitization Cell, Prof. Satpal Singh, Chief Program Officer, NSS Unit, Dr. Suman Chopra Head of History Department , Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu Head of Commerce Department, Dr. Harjit Singh Head of Mathematics Department, Dr. Ubique Bedi, Dr. Navjot Kaur, Prof Manish Goel and other faculty members and a large number of students were present on this occasion.
