Simran adjudged as best speaker at World Youth Parliament at Pune
Jalandhar April 9 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- NSS Unit of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar brought laurels to the college in March by participating in record state and national level events like North East Youth Festival at Nagaland, World Youth Parliament, National Integration Camps, State Youth Parliament and State NSS Convention to name a few. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu felicitated the participants and opined that their achievements will act as catalyst to motivate others to repeat the same feat in future. He added that Lyallpur Khalsa College provides every possible help to its students to showcase their hidden talents at state and national platforms. He congratulated college NSS unit for consistent presence at national level.
NSS volunteers Natasha and Ritika were the only female volunteers from GNDU
NSS Chief Program Officer who represented Guru Nanak Dev University at State NSS convention at Kharar, informed that NSS volunteers Natasha and Ritika were the only female volunteers from GNDU to be selected for North East Youth Festival at Nagaland, Volunteer Simran was adjudged as the best speaker at World Youth Parliament at Pune in the track Peace and Security, volunteers Manish and Daman participated in NIC at Bihar, Ragunandan and Dev Ansh attended NIC at Haryana, while Sukhpreet and Simran attended NIC at Gujrat.
Moreover, volunteers like Natasha, Komal, Bhoomika and Ritika participated in Inter-state Youth Exchange Program at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Volunteer Gurwinder Kaur was invited to attend State NSS Convention at Kharar. In addition, volunteers Ekta Pandey and Vanshika participated in State Youth Parliament at Chandigarh. While Jaskaran Singh won Rs.20,000/- cash and goodies as one of the best change makers at My Bharat portal for active participation in online activities. All the achievers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the President, College Governing Council, Principal and Dept. of Youth Services, Punjab, State NSS cell and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, India for providing such life changing opportunities.
