Jalandhar April 20 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- With the objective of equipping students with essential skills required to excel in professional interviews, the Career Counseling and Placement Cell of Lyallpur Khalsa College organized a Mock Interview Session followed by a Group Discussion Session in regard to the Proposed Placement Drive 2026. The session was held on April 11, 2026, in the office of the Career Counseling and Placement Cell of the college.The session was conducted by Dr. Charanjit Singh, Convener of the Cell, along with Dr. Jyoti Vohra from the PG Department of Commerce and Business Management and Prof. Ritika from the Department of Economics, both active members of the Cell.
The resource persons provided students with practical exposure to real interview scenarios and guided them on improving communication skills, confidence, and overall presentation.During the session, students actively participated in mock interviews and group discussions, gaining valuable insights into the expectations of recruiters and the dynamics of professional selection processes. The initiative aimed at preparing students to face competitive placement drives with greater confidence and competence.
Principal of the college, Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu appreciated the efforts of the Career Counseling and Placement Cell and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in shaping students’ careers. In his message, he stated that practical training sessions like mock interviews and group discussions play a crucial role in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. He encouraged students to make the most of such opportunities to enhance their employability skills and achieve professional success.The session concluded with an interactive discussion where students shared their experiences and received personalized feedback from the panel.
