LKCTC organizes One-Day Workshop on Cyber Security and Blockchain & its Use cases lab Training

Jalandhar December 9 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Department of Computer Science Engineering in collaboration with the department of Applied Science, organized a highly informative one-day workshop on Cyber Security. The event was attended by B.Tech. CSE and Data Science first-year and second year students.

The workshop featured a distinguished resource person, Mr. Uttam Singh, who shared his extensive knowledge on various aspects of Cyber Security, including Intrusion Detection, Malware Detection, Information Security, Vulnerability Scanning, Digital Forensics, and Security Audit. Mr. Singh emphasized that Cybersecurity is the practice of safeguarding systems, networks, and programs from digital attacks.

These cyberattacks typically aim to access, manipulate, or compromise sensitive information, extort money through ransomware, or disrupt normal business operations. In today’s technologically advanced world, effective cybersecurity measures are crucial due to the proliferation of devices and the increasingly innovative tactics employed by cybercriminals.

On the other side the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at LKCTC organized a one-day workshop on “Blockchain and Its Use Cases Lab Training” for students in the 3rd and 5th semesters of the B.Tech. CSE/DS program. The workshop was conducted by Antier Solutions, based in Chandigarh, within the premises of LKCTC.

Mr. Karan Bhai, the Head of Product at Antier Solutions, was the key resource person for the workshop. He, along with a team of four members, effectively conducted the workshop. The workshop was designed to teach students about various blockchain concepts by providing practical demonstrations. The students learned complex concepts through hands-on learning and live sessions in an accessible and effective manner.

Sardar Sukhbir Singh Chatha, Director Academic Affairs, KCL Group of Institutions, and Dr. R.S. Deol, Director, LKCTC commended the dedicated efforts of the organizing committee. They encouraged the faculty members to maintain their enthusiasm for organizing such insightful events in the future.
