LKCTC became the first institute in Punjab to collaborate with IIT Delhi for the workshop
Jalandhar January 18 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus Jalandhar, in collaboration with IIT Delhi, is now a Nodal Centre of Virtual Labs, a Government of India initiative by the Ministry of Education.
The college organized two days State level Workshop on Virtual Labs in association with IIT Delhi from 18th Januuary – 19th January 2024 featuring guest speakers Dr. Tanmay Tarun Dass, Project manager IIT Delhi virtual labs) and Mr Prateek Sharma, Senior project assistant from the Virtual Labs outreach team at IIT Delhi.
They were accompanied by Chandan Kumar, Senior Field Engineer and Chirag Dey, Senior Field Engineer, IIT Delhi. The event started with the floral welcome of the team.
Thereafter Dr. R.S Deol, Director LKCTC addressed the gathering after the felicitation of the guest speakers.

The workshop received an overwhelming response with more than 100 registrations and aimed to promote the use of remote-access simulation-based labs in various fields of Science and Engineering.
The workshop covered various topics, highlighting the importance of virtual labs in modern education. The Virtual Labs are added to the AICTE Model curriculum. The expert speakers shared insights into how virtual labs can enhance the learning experience, making it engaging and effective. They told that about 29, 50,367 users are using the platform between 6:00 PM- 7:00 PM. At the end participants actively engaged in discussions and hands-on activities.
