Jalandhar January 12 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus celebrated Lohri with lot of exumberance & fanfare. The celebration started with the speech of Director LKCTC, Dr. R.S. Deol highlighting the importance of festival of Lohri which ushers in the cheerful spring season bidding adeu to the dull winter.
All the teachers & the students took part in the celebration enthusiastically. The programme kicked off with “Lohri Poojan.”
S. Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director Academic Affairs, KCL Group) and Dr. R.S. Deol (Director LKCTC) along with other staff members & students worshipped “Dhooni” & groundnuts & sweets were also distributed. A colourful Programme was held on this occasion. After that Punjabi Folk Song, Lohri songs, Bhangra, etc. were presented by students.
At the end Dr. Deol congratulated the coordinators of the event Dr Inderpal Singh, Ms Harbinder Kaur and Ms Shyana Monga for putting their efforts and organizing a wonderful event for welcoming spring season. He also blessed everyone and encouraged to stay positive and hardworking like the positive wibes of the upcoming season and wish all a great year ahead.
