KMV’s Rugby team bags champion position in Inter-college Rugby Championship organised by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar

Jalandhar November 2 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) known for its commitment to education, sportsand the cultural heritage of India, takes pride in the consistent achievements of its student-athletes in various sports. In this series, the rugby team of K.M.V. demonstrated remarkable skills in the inter-college rugby championship by securing a gold medal organised by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Team members received acclaim for their sportsmanship, dedication, and enthusiasm as the championship, hosted by the Sports Department of Guru Nanak Dev University, witnessed their outstanding performance.

It is pertinent to mention that five players from this team namely Manpreet Kaur, Divya, Harshita, Sanjana & Shagun Thakur have been selected for All India Inter University Championship. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the group team for this special achievement, encouraging them to establish new dimensions of success with even more hard work and dedication in the future. Dr. Davinder Singh, Head of the Physical Education Department, along with Ms. Manpreet Kaur and Coach Mr. Sunil Kumar, was also praised by Madam Principal for providing the students with appropriate guidance.
