Jalandhar September 8 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always takes initiatives in organizing numerous field visits and workshops to provide students the insights in hands on retailing.In continuation with these efforts, a one-day visit to Eastwood Village, Jalandhar,was organized by PG Department of Retail Management for the students of B.Voc. and M. Voc. Retail Management. The students visited multiple of renowned brand stores namely American Tourister, Beatnik, Tommy Hilfiger, Lakshita, Puma, Octave, Adidas, Metro and gained knowledge about various operations of Retail Outlets and also attended the various workshops & sessions to attain practical knowledge in immense scope of retailing.
The purpose of the workshop was to understand the operations and management of a retail store and to observe the practical application of concepts learned in the classroom. During the visit, the students observed various aspects of the store, such as the display of products, pricing, customer service, and billing procedures. The students also interacted with the store managers and the staff to understand the working of the store.
They gained knowledge about the retail promotions and building store loyalty. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the initiative taken by Dr Gopi Sharma, Director, Skill Development Centre, Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Incharge, Ms Chetna and all the other faculty members for guiding the students towards a safe and bright future.
