Jalandhar May 16 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has always been making efforts for the holistic development of its students. In keeping with this tradition, P.G. Department of Commerce and Business Administration, organised a one day workshop on Goods and Services Tax. The resource persons of this workshop were CA Seema Aggarwal and CA Sanjeev Bansal, Faculty, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Patiala Chapter. CA Seema Aggarwal acquainted the students with concepts liketypes of GST, inter-state and intra-state transactions,supply, zero rated supply, exempt supply, casual taxable person, HSN, SAC and compensation cess etc. with the help of suitable illustrations.
CA Sanjeev Bansal gave practical demonstration of online registration process on GST portal in detail. Later, the resource persons answered the queries of the students. The workshop was attended by more than 120 students and was indeed a knowledge enriching experience for them.Principal Prof Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi extended her gratitude towards the resource persons and lauded the efforts of Dr Neeraj Maini, Head, P.G.Department of Commerce & Business administration for taking initiatives to make students abreast of the latest developments in the field of Commerce and Industry.
