Jalandhar December 21 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), a premier educational institution, is committed to not only academic excellence but also to fostering social responsibility among its students. As part of the compulsory Value Added Program for semester IV students, the college has been actively organizing Nukkad Nataks on a variety of socially relevant themes, including literacy, women related issues, drug abuse, blood donation and environmental conservation.
These Nukkad Nataks were also enacted in a number of adjoining villages to sensitise the people.Through these powerful theatrical performances, KMV students have been engaging with the local community, raising awareness, and inspiring positive change. The Nukkad Nataks provide a platform for students to showcase their creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills while addressing pressing social issues.
Principal Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi reiterated the commitment to the cause and averred that the students will be performing these street plays at many places including. She also highlighted the pioneering and pivotal role KMV has always played in the eradication of various social evils and expressed KMV’s resolve to make a significant contribution in various social causes. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Monica Sharma, Dean, Social Outreach and all the faculty members & students involved in this initiative.
