Jalandhar November 11 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) P.G Department of Psychology organised poster-making competition and rangoli-making competitions in order to create an awareness among the students about the importance of mental health and to prioritize it. These competitions were conducted by the department to create awareness among the students that mental health is equally as important as physical health. The students of UG and PG enthusiastically participated in these competitions.
All the posters and rangolis made by the students beautifully depicted the importance of mental health and were displayed in the college campus. In addition to this, innovative ‘Counseling Booths’ were also set up by the students in different areas of the college campuswhere Psychological Counseling was provided or the enrichment of their mental health.
Along with this, Psychological Testing was also administered and various mind games were organized for the students as well as the faculty members of the college. Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of the students and the faculty members of PG Department of Psychology and emphasized on conducting more such events in the future for the upliftment of everyone’s well-being.
