Jalandhar April 13 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) Department of Philosophy organized a webinar on “Nyaya Darshan in Indian Philosophy”. The resource person for this webinar was Dr. Rahul Kumar Maurya, Assistant Professor, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. The main objective of this workshop was to create interest among the students about various methods of Indian Logic available in the field of Indian Knowledge system of Philosophy. The students of UG and PG, faculty from our college and also from other places of Punjab and Varanasi enthusiastically participated in this workshop.
Dr. Rahul mentioned various methods of inductive logic in Indian philosophy such as syllogism, inference etc&also discussed about the difference between Indian and western logic, Anumana in Nyaya Darshan, nature of Vyapti etc. He also suggested various Philosophy books for better understanding of Indian Logic. Dr. Rahul concluded the session by encouraging students to explore various different fields of philosophy, so that, they can enhance their skills. Such endeavors are regularly conducted by the Department of philosophy. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi extended her gratitude towards Dr Rahul for this insightful webinar.
