Jalandhar May 14 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has always been committed to develop intellectual base through quality research of both faculty members and students. In another initiative to promote ethical research among its faculty and students, Research Development Centre, KMV in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell organised a one day online FDP on Introduction to Drillbrit Plagiarism Detection Software. The main objective of this FDP was to orient the faculty members and students toward understanding the various ethics to be followed while writing a research paper/ project report.
Ms. Nitika Wanjari and Mr. Prakash Sachin from the Drillbrit team discussed about various modules and applications of the software highlighting plagiarism detection. Discussion was also held on different ICT Tools helpful in writing research papers and varied scientific misconduct in research and how can one avoid it.
Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivediaverred that the involvement of students in the ethical research practices will increase research quality and knowledge and will also update them regarding their subject which will be of great benefit to the students& this noble initiative if KMV is bound to elicit excellent results. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Research Development Centre, KMV for successfully organising the FDP.
