Jalandhar May 19 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) Department of Food Science Quality Control and Microbiology organised an Industrial Visit to Wave Beverages, Amritsar for the students of B.Sc. Medical (Food Science and Microbiology) semester II, IV and VI. These students were escorted to the industrial visit along with their faculty members named Dr. Monica and Mrs. Charul Sharma. During the visit, students got information in detail about the plant history, equipment specifications and manufacturing process of different types of beverages prepared in that industry.
The plant visit was conducted under guidance of Mr Lalan, staff member of the plant. In addition students had a real time view of water treatment plant and PET bottle manufacture. They also visited washing section, packaging section and storage of glass bottles. The students also had question-answer round during which they cleared their doubts regarding the manufacturing process. Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this kind of educational excursion reflects KMV’s commitment to providing practical learning experiences that complement classroom teachings.
By exposing students to real-world industry practices, the institution aims to nurture their curiosity and prepare them for future endeavours in the food processing sector. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Department of Food Science Quality Control and Microbiology for successfully organising the visit.
