Jalandhar January 6 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has established a new milestone in new age college education with introduction of Five-Year Integrated Programmes in Commerce, Physics, English & Mathematics in sync with New Education Policy of Government of India. Under this system students are offered multiple exit system as after three years students can exit with BA/ B.Sc./B.Com. degree in the major subject, whereas after four years the students can exit with Hons degree and after five years with masters degree.

This will help students to complete their degree as per their choice as students who wish to opt for job they can exit after three years and complete their post-graduation or Hons later. The year dedicated to Hons programmes will be exclusively focused on specialisation on concerned stream.

These programmes are in sync with new education policy of Government of India and at par with Internationally accepted framework of education. Along with this student will be studying in credit system which will help them to mobilise their credits globally. The whole process of credit transfer will be paperless as students are getting registered at academic bank of credits (ABC). KMV programs with globally accepted syllabus and curriculum play a crucial role in preparing students for success in an increasingly interconnected world. By designing their programs to align with international standards and best practices, KMV ensures that graduates possess a well-rounded skill set that is relevant and applicable across various industries and countries.

Many KMVites have also got admission in foreign universities like Boston University,USA all because of the global exposure gained by them through the exceptional international programs run by KMV. Moreover, KMV is also offering upto 70 percent skill component in every program, complemented by an upgraded syllabus and extensive industrial trainings and internships.

Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that being the first & only women college to be bestowed autonomous status, KMV has entered the higher league of colleges and has introduced many reforms in education in sync with New Education Policy. She further maintained that the academicians from India & abroad and our industrial partners have helped us in upgrading the syllabi according to the 21st century skills and KMV has opened pathway to the best standard in education.
