Jalandhar November 30 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated World AIDS Day with zest. This day is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) caused by HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection and mourning those who have died of the disease. Department of Student welfare in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club organized poster making competition to celebrate World AIDS Day. Students from all the streams made beautiful posters on the theme.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of students and faculty for raising awareness in the society. She also motivated students to act as social messengers and spread awareness among society regarding this disease and the ways to control it. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet, Dean, Student Welfare for successfully organising the celebrations.
