This progressive step reflects KMV’s commitment of providing an inclusive and flexible educational environment to the students: Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi
Jalandhar July 17 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) in a significant academic initiative aimed at supporting its students’ educational journey has successfully conducted retests for 11 students who were unable to attend their end semester examinations due to medical reasons or participation in National level college-sponsored activities such as NCC (National Cadet Corps), NSS (National Service Scheme), sports and extra-curricular activities (ECA). Throwing more light on it, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this progressive step reflects KMV’s commitment of providing an inclusive and flexible educational environment, ensuring that students do not face undue academic delays due to unavoidable circumstances.
The retests are scheduled to be held 15 days after the completion of the regular end semester examinations, allowing students adequate time to prepare and participate fully. Students who missed their exams due to medical emergencies got the opportunity to retake their exams without having to wait for the next academic year. This provision ensures that health issues do not hinder academic progress. Recognising the importance of holistic development, KMV acknowledges the valuable contributions and time commitments of students involved in NCC, NSS, sports, and ECA.
The retests were conducted within the current academic session
These students were given a fair chance to complete their exams without penalty, reflecting the institution’s support for their diverse interests and contributions. The retests were conducted within the current academic session, specifically 15 days after the completion of end semester examinations and their results will also be declared soon. This timeline ensures that students can quickly resume their academic responsibilities without losing momentum. KMV’s autonomous status allows the institution to implement more flexible policies, significantly reducing the risk of academic setbacks and enhancing student opportunities.
Prof. Dwivedi concluded by saying that primary goal at KMV is to support our students in every possible way. By conducting retests within the same session, we are ensuring that our students do not face unnecessary delays in their education due to circumstances beyond their control. This initiative highlights the benefits of our autonomous status and our commitment to fostering an accommodating and supportive academic environment. This retest policy is expected to benefit a substantial number of students, allowing them to continue their academic journey without interruptionas KMV remains dedicated to provide a nurturing and adaptable educational experience, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed and thrive.
