Students showcase their love and devotion towards their mother language by participating in various activities
Jalandhar February 22 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated International Mother Language Day with great zeal and enthusiasm On this occasion, various activities like story writing, poster making, slogan writing, beautiful writing & a rally were organised by the PG Department of Punjabi in which the students participated with full dedication. Students from various departments beautifully displayed their love and respect for the Punjabi language. It is noteworthy that in the rally organised on this occasion, more than 60 students showcased the importance of mother language. Navneet Kaur and Ameesha Sharma stood first in the story writing competition, Smriti and Ravindra secured second position while Komal Sharma stood third.
Verleen Kaur and Anmol Kaur won the first place in the poster making competition. Navneet Kaur and Ameesha got the second position while Monica, Rajveer and Pavneet got the third position. Dilpreet Kaur received the consolation prize for this competition. In the beautiful writing competition, Ishleen Kaur stood first, Sukhmanpreet Kaur stood second and Navneet Kaur stood third, while the consolation prize was given to Ameesha Sharma and Navneet Kaur.
Also, in the slogan writing competition, Neha stood first, Ishleen stood second and Nancy stood third. Kiya and Pavneet Kaur bagged consolation prize. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulating all the winners, inspired everyone to respect their mother language and make concrete efforts to spread it. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of PG Department of Punjabi for successfully organising the event.
