Jalandhar February 15 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has been bestowed with Green Campus Awards in recognition of its exemplary efforts and commitment towards environmental sustainability by SOCH (The Society for Conservation and Healing of Environment). KMV has demonstrated outstanding initiatives in promoting environmental awareness, implementing eco-friendly practices, and fostering a culture of sustainability among its students, faculty, and staff.
Speaking on the occasion, President Dr. Balwinder Singh Lakhewali and Joint Secretary Er. Amarjeet Singh from SOCH, commended Kanya Maha Vidyalaya for its remarkable contributions to environmental conservation. Expressing gratitude for the honor, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi extended appreciation to SOCH and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to furthering its efforts towards environmental stewardship.
She averred that the Green Campus Award is a testament to Kanya Maha Vidyalaya’s proactive approach towards environmental conservation and serves as inspiration for other educational institutions to follow suit in adopting sustainable practices for a greener future. She further maintained that it is very imperative that the younger generation should be made aware about their responsibilities towards the environment conservation and we at KMV have always time to time organised various activities to promote the cause of environment conservation so that we should be able to make our environment more green and clean.
