Jalandhar February 3 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- An inter-college Rangoli and Poster making competition was organized on the occasion of ‘Voter Day’ at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar under the aegis of Jalandhar Administration. About 25 students from various colleges of Jalandhar participated in this competition. These competitions were organized in view of Voters Day and its main objective was to make the general public and students aware about voting and its importance.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, while expressing her views said that casting a vote is the political right of every Indian citizen and our college ensures providing enough platforms to its students in order to make them responsible citizens of the nation.
In this competition, student Kundan Kumar (Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar) stood first, Amrit Sagar Aggarwal (Apeejay College of Fine Arts Jalandhar) stood second, Divya and Kajal stood third (BD Arya College Jalandhar Cantt), consolation prize was given to Vinshika Sood and Mohit Dhaliwal (CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus). The winner students with honoured with certificates. Also, Dr. Dhingra appreciated the efforts of Dr. Rimpy Agarwal, Head, Department of Fine Arts and Dr. Jeevan Kumari for the smoothly coordinating the entire event.
