Innocent Hearts School of Hotel Management Hosts Rajasthani Food Fest – “Padharo Mhare Des”

Jalandhar August 13 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The School of Hotel Management at Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions brought the royal flavors of Rajasthan to Jalandhar with a vibrant Rajasthani Food Festival titled “Padharo Mhare Des”.

The event celebrated the state’s rich culinary heritage, offering guests an authentic gastronomic journey prepared entirely by the budding chefs of the institute. The whole event was organised by the students of Hotel Management Department, IHGI.

From the first sip of Masala Chaas to the last spoonful of Moong Dal Halwa, the festival offered an immersive experience in Rajasthan’s famed hospitality. The menu featured popular starters like Mirchi Vada and Pyaz Kachori, followed by a grand main course spread of Dal Baati Churma, Gatte ki Sabzi, Aloo Mangodi ki Sabzi, Panchmel Dal, Missi Roti, Steamed/Jeera Rice, served alongside Papad and pickles. The dishes were prepared and sold by Hotel Management students, providing them with valuable hands-on training in professional event execution – from menu planning and cooking to presentation and customer service.

Guests praised the authentic flavors, traditional presentation, and warm hospitality, while faculty coordinators highlighted how such initiatives deepen students’ understanding of India’s diverse regional cuisines. Dr. Anup Bowry, Chairman of Innocent Hearts Group, lauded the efforts of students, faculty, and staff, appreciating the meticulous attention to detail and dedication that went into recreating Rajasthan’s culinary magic. The event was not just a feast for the palate but a celebration of culture – truly capturing the royal, colorful, and flavorful essence of Rajasthan.
