Jalandhar February 20 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The School of Management at Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, in collaboration with the Academic Committee, organized a two-day Workshop on Financial Literacy and Career Awareness to enhance students’ understanding of financial concepts and career opportunities in the financial sector. This initiative aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) – Quality Education, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to equipping students with essential financial knowledge and career preparedness. The workshop featured expert sessions by Ms. Anita Saini, Securities Market Trainer from SEBI, and Mr. Nagesh Kumar, a certified trainer from NISM.

The sessions covered key topics such as investment planning, portfolio diversification, financial goal setting, mutual funds, stock market trends, and risk management. Students were also introduced to career prospects in the financial domain, the importance of professional certifications, and strategies to avoid investment fraud. The interactive sessions included real-life examples, discussions, and Q & A rounds, allowing students to gain practical insights into financial decision-making. A pre-quiz and post-quiz were conducted to assess learning outcomes, and feedback was collected to evaluate the session’s effectiveness.

The workshop proved to be a valuable learning experience, equipping students with practical financial knowledge and career guidance. The School of Management extended its gratitude to SEBI and NISM for their collaboration in making this initiative informative and impactful.
