Jalandhar January 9 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Inner Wheel Club Jalandhar commemorated the 100th year of Inner Wheel Day with a unique celebration, graced by Mrs. Rita Sharma, Chairman District 307, as the chief guest. The event witnessed the presence of PDC Mrs. Jagbans Toor, PDC Mrs. Asha Paul, club President Dr. Harjinder Kaur, and Secretary Mrs. Anju Sharma.
During the centenary celebrations, project managers Mrs. Anita Chawla and Mrs. Niru Chawla efficiently organized the meeting, where a multitude of impactful projects were executed. Notably, 100 limbs were generously provided to the needy, with 50 being fitted on the day. Additional contributions included 7 wheelchairs, a tricycle, 2 walkers, and 4 hearing aids.
In a heartwarming gesture, 100 blankets were distributed to patients, their attendants, and other individuals in need. The club also distributed 100 sanitary pads, 100 notebooks, 100 masks, and 100 school bags. Furthermore, a commendable sum of Rs 20,000 was donated to Victor School, and Rs 28,000 was extended to the Animal Protection Home for the well-being of cows.

A significant highlight of the celebration was the serving of Langar to over 100 individuals, coupled with the felicitation of the Doctors’ team with trophies as a token of appreciation. Mrs. Pushpa Arora recited a beautiful poem praising Inner Wheel during the event.
The chief guest, Mrs. Rita Sharma, ceremoniously cut the celebratory cake. The event was attended by dedicated members, including Mrs. Prem Dhir, Inderkiran Toor, Seema Arora, Sneh Arora, IPP Nimmi Chaudhary, Mrs. Kalsi, Jaswant Minhas, Neelam, Rajkamal, Pooja, Manjula Sood, Archana Mehta, Neeta Chopra, Santosh Munjal, Pushpa Jaiswal, and many more.
Additionally, the Doctors’ team from Bhartiya Vikas Parishad, Ludhiana, and Counsellors from Ludhiana played a crucial role in guiding and supporting the patients throughout the celebration.
