Industrial visit

Jalandhar December 13 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- In a bid to provide practical exposure and foster hands-on learning experiences, the School of Paramedical Sciences organized an insightful industrial visit to CRI (Central Research Institute Kasauli) in Shimla Himachal Predesh PIMS (Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences) Hospital in Jalandhar. The visit was an enriching opportunity for the students pursuing various paramedical programs.

The Central Research Institute, located in kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, is a renowned research center in the field of pharmaceuticals and vaccines. Students were able to observe the various stages of vaccine and serum production, the sophisticated analytical instruments used, and the rigorous quality control processes that ensure the safety and efficacy of medical products.

The visit also included engaging interactions with senior researchers and scientists at the institute, allowing students to gain firsthand knowledge of the challenges and innovations in the practical and vaccines industry. These interactions provided invaluable insights into the latest advancements in drug development and importance of research in combating public health challenges.

During the visit, the students had the privilege of exploring the state-of-threat facilities and departments within PIMS Hospital. They were guided by experienced healthcare professional who shared their knowledge and expertise, providing valuable insights into functioning of a modern health care institution.

The School of Pharmacy on other side organized industrial visit to Kwality Pharmaceuticals in Amritsar, Punjab. Kwality Pharmaceuticals, situated in Amritsar, Punjab, stands out as a renowned pharmaceutical company specializing in various dosage forms, including Liquid Orals, Powder for Oral Suspension, Tablets, Capsules, Sterile Powder for Injections, small volume injectables, Ointments, External Preparations, ORS, and more.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe various stages of manufacturing and production. They witnessed the use of sophisticated analytical instruments and gained insights into the rigorous quality control processes that ensure the safety and efficacy of medical products.

S. Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director Academic Affairs) and Dr. R.S Deol (Director, LKCTC) & and Mr. Kapil Kanwar (Principal, School of Pharmacy) encouraged the students to participate in these types of events and motivated the faculty members and the students to organize such type of industrial visits in the future as well.
