Jalandhar November 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- After the illustrious tenure and superannuation of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Dr. Ekta Khosla took charge amid the sanctity of a Havan Ceremony held in the college Yajnashala, marking the beginning of a new era at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. The outgoing Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, along with the faculty, staff, and students, extended a warm welcome to Dr. Ekta Khosla. Prior to this, Dr. Khosla served as Principal of DAV College, Malout and R.R. Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala, where she held office for five years. On this occasion, Dr. Sareen ceremoniously handed over the charge to Dr. Khosla.
The event was graced by LAC Chairman, Batala, Sh. Rajesh Kawatra, LAC Member Sh. Ashwini Marwaha from Batala, and staff members of R.R. Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala, who conveyed their greetings and felicitations. Dr. Kawaldeep Kaur was also present. The Music Department invoked a devotional atmosphere with a soulful bhajan sung by Dr. Prem Sagar. The stage was gracefully conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. In her maiden address, Dr. Ekta Khosla emphasized the importance of social impact along with academic excellence and highlighted the collective role of the faculty in shaping student success.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Rajesh Kawatra lauded Dr. Khosla’s dedication and leadership, noting how her vision and perseverance had elevated Batala College to greater heights. Expressing her gratitude, Dr. Ekta Khosla remarked that HMV has always been her training ground, and the learnings imbibed here had guided her professional journey. She sought the cooperation and support of all to lead HMV towards new milestones of excellence. The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Mamta.
