HMV organizes Theatrical Tribute to Maharani Ahilya Bai Holkar

Jalandhar August 30 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, in collaboration with Kshetriya Samajik Samrasta Vibhag and Samvad Theatre Group, Chandigarh, organized a powerful and moving theatrical tribute to one of India’s most visionary historical figures – Maharani Ahilya Bai Holkar. Renowned for her exceptional leadership, profound wisdom and unwavering commitment to public welfare, Maharani Ahilya Bai remains a timeless symbol of India’s constitutional and cultural legacy.

The play, directed by Mr. Mukesh Sharma and scripted by Ms. Rajni Bajaj, vividly brought to life the inspiring journey of the great queen, highlighting her contributions to society, her spiritual strength, and her role in rebuilding temples while promoting justice and harmony. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Mrs. Akarshi Jain (IPS), ADCP Jalandhar, Mr. Pramod from Kshetriya Samajik Samrasta Vibhag, Dr. Madhurima Bhagat, Mrs. Parveen Angrish and Mr. Ramesh Sharma.

Principal Dr. Sareen Dr. Navroop and Dr. Anjana Bhatia extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and congratulated the organizers for bringing forth the pivotal role of women in India’s glorious history. All dignitaries were honoured with Pehchan Patras. The function was smoothly coordinated by Mrs. Alka and Mrs. Protima, whose meticulous efforts ensured the success and grandeur of the tribute.

UG and PG students from the department of Political Science and History along with students and faculty from HMV Collegiate School formed the part of it and enjoyed the engrossing performance. The event stood as a memorable celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage and the empowered leadership of women.
