Jalandhar May 20 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, PG Department of Physics and PG Department of Chemistry of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized an industrial visit to ZIBO Paper industry, District Amritsar. Mrs. Saloni Sharma Head of Physics Department and Ms. Alka (Assistant Professor, Chemistry department) accompanied 48 students of B.Sc Sem-IV and B.Sc Sem-VI to visit ZIBO Paper Industry (Amritsar), which is a leading manufacturing of textiles in Punjab.

The Unit incharge described the works of various units such as cloth dying jet, drying unit to heating of cloth to remove excess stains of colors. Currently they are producing a special type of paper named as ZIBO paper for printing of different patterns on the clothes. Unit Incharge explained the process of formation of Zibo papers, by coating glue prepared from the raw material on the paper roll and then drying it using sublimation unit.

It is due to this coating that the different patterns that are created by design department are firstly printed on Zibo papers then this print is transferred onto the cloth using fusing machine. Unit Incharges also explained about the maintenance of equipment and ethics considered during preparation of final products. Students also visited Durgyana Temple, Golden temple, Jallian Wala Bagh and Galiara. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that HMV believes in providing latest information regarding technology to the students.
