Jalandhar October 18 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar hosted a vibrant Diwali Mela under the aegis of National Edutrust of India. On this occasion, CEO of National Edutrust of India Mr. Samarth Sharma was the Chief Guest. Tehsildaar Mr. Parveen Singla was also present. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed them. Mr. Samarth Sharma praised HMV’s efforts in promoting vocational education. Diwali Mela 2025 featured handcrafted items like artistic furnishings, Diwali theme greeting cards, gift hampers, a variety of food stalls.
The highlight of the event was that this mela was a zero plastic mela which is the need of the hour for safe environment. Skill Departments such as Design, Multimedia, Fashion, Cosmetology, Home Science and Fine Arts participated and showcased their creative products. All the products were displayed under the supervision of Faculty Incharge Skill Dr. Rakhi Mehta, Dean Academics Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Youth Welfare Dr. Navroop and IQAC Coordinator Dr. Anjana Bhatia and all other Deans were also present there.
Dr. Anjana Bhatia extended her thanks to National Edutrust of India. The event was skillfully managed by Dr. Rakhi Mehta, Faculty Incharge Skill alongwith Mrs. Navneeta, Dr. Neeru Bharti, Mr. Ashish, Dr. Shailendra, Ms. Mukti and other faculty members. The event truly provided a platform for students to showcase their skills and transition into budding entrepreneurs.
