Jalandhar October 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The PG Department of Mathematics of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized an Extension Lecture cum Workshop on “Analysis Laboratory” under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen motivated the students to participate in such kind of activities and congratulated the department for organising the workshop. The overall Incharge of the workshop was Head of Department of Mathematics Dr. Gagandeep. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Jitender, Professor and Head of Department of Mathematics, GNDU, Amritsar. Prof. Jitender gave the lecture on the topic “Analysis Laboratory ”.

SCILAB and MATLAB both are high performance software packages for computing and he provided a hands on practical information on these softwares. He gave information which is the need of the hour for students who are dealing with problems of Mathematics and require software knowledge for the same. He also explained the students that Mathematics is very important branch of Science and Humanities. Dr. Jitender has explained about the different career opportunities in Mathematics all over the world and have also elaborated the benefits of career in mathematics comparative to other sectors like IT and AI.
Dr. Jitender told a Mathematician career as the most opportunist and multi talented in every sector. Dr. Gagandeep, Head of PG Department of Mathematics, presented a beautiful poem on the importance of Mathematics in day to day life and other fields very well. Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics and Head of Zoology Department, Mrs. Deepshikha, Faculty Head, Science and Head of PG Department of Chemistry congratulated Mathematics department to organize this workshop. Students of B.Sc and M.Sc participated in this workshop with full enthusiasm. Dr. Gaurav Verma presented vote of thanks for the event. The other faculty members of Mathematics Department Dr. Deepali, Mrs. Charanjit and Mrs. Chandan were also present in this workshop.
