Anti Ragging

Jalandhar August 18 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Anti Ragging Committee of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized Anti Ragging Weak under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The whole events were organized by Dean Students Welfare Ms. Binoo Gupta and team. She told that Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Essay Writing, nukkad natak and Screening of Documentary was organized under this week. Students said they were proud to be part of reputed institution HMV where seniors welcome their juniors with open hearts and open arms. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen addressed the audience by saying that HMV is a Zero-tolerance ragging college.

Mentoring Sessions, buddy groups, fresher parties and resident scholars help in building a cohesive environment in the college. On the 2nd day, essay writing competition was organized on the topic ‘Ragging is a social curse’. The judges of the event were Mrs. Loveleen kaur and Dr. Meenu Talwar. More than 30 students participated in this event. Jaspreet Kaur got 1st prize, Jhanvi got 2nd prize, Robonpreet got 3rd prize.

Nukkad natak was organised on anti-ragging to raise awareness

On 4th day, nukkad natak was organised on anti-ragging to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of ragging and to promote anti-ragging culture. Sakshi Vaid, Dilpreet, Nandani, Nazam, Vibhuti, Aditi, Khushi and Harsh performed the nukkad natak under the able guidance of Dr. Kajal Puri and Mrs. Binoo Gupta.

On 5th day, a poster making and slogan writing competition was organized on the topic ‘Ragging Free Campus’ and ‘Evils of Ragging’. The judges of the event were Dr. Shailendra Singh and Dr. Neeru Bharti. 57 students participated out of which Jasneet got 1st prize in Poster Making Competition, Khushi got 2nd prize and Harshdeep got 3rd prize. In Slogan Writing Competition, Jaspreet won 1st prize, Jhanvi got 2nd and Harshdeep got 3rd prize. On 6th day, workshop on positive psychology was organised by student welfare and expert Dr. Ashmeen Kaur delivered the speech. On this occasion, teaching staff members were also present.
