Jalandhar November 18 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- In a splendid celebration of academic achievement and the pursuit of knowledge, the prestigious Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, hosted its 93rd Convocation with great fervour. The event, held within the esteemed walls of the campus, served as a beacon of educational excellence and marked the culmination of the academic journey for 870 accomplished graduates, postgraduates and diplomas across various disciplines. Under the dynamic leadership of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, the Convocation witnessed a distinguished gathering of luminaries, each contributing to the grandeur of the occasion.

Renowned entrepreneur, educationist and philanthropist, Sh. Vishva Nath Sharma with his better half Smt. Kamlesh Sharma graced the event as the Chief Guest, imparting words of wisdom and inspiration to the graduating class. The ceremony also welcomed Guests of Eminence, S. Balkar Singh, Minister of the Local Government and Parliamentary Affairs and Guest of Honour Justice (Retd.) Sh. N.K. Sud, Vice President, DAVCMC and Chairman LAC along with Principal (Retd.) Sh. M.L. Aeri ji, Dr. Sushma Chawla, Dr. Pawan Gupta, Sh. SP Sehdev and media personnel. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the DAV Gaan set the stage for a day filled with pride and accomplishment.

Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen offered a warm welcome to the guests in her eloquent address and commended the graduates for their dedication and hard work, emphasizing the transformative power of education. She highlighted the institution’s milestones in a comprehensive report and its commitment to shaping future leaders and thinkers. Sh. V.N. Sharma in his address, shared valuable insights on navigating the professional landscape and encouraged the graduates to embrace challenges as stepping stones to success. He felt delighted on being the part of the event and lauded the institution for its marvellous achievements.

S. Balkar Singh conveyed his best wishes to the students and announced a generous contribution of Rs. 10 lacs towards the development of infrastructure of the institution. Justice (Retd.) Sh. NK Sud and Sh. M.L Aeri, echoed the sentiments of encouragement and urged the graduates to carry forward the torch of knowledge with integrity and compassion. Their words resonated with the essence of resilience and continuous learning. Smt. Kamlesh congratulated the graduates and motivated the girls to become an embodiment of women empowerment and inspire others. Dr. Veena Arora and Dr. Gagandeep received honour for upgrading their qualification to doctoral level.

As the curtains descended on the formal proceedings, Principal Dr. Sareen officially declared the convocation closed, signifying not just an end but a commencement of new endeavours for the graduates. The day concluded with a vibrant display of cultural performances, showcasing the diverse talents nurtured within the institution. Convocation successfully concluded under the guidance of Advisor, Dr. Seema Marwaha, Coordinator, Dr. Seema Khanna and Co- Coordinator Dr. Sandeep Kaur. The vote of thanks was graciously delivered by the Convocation Coordinator, Dr. Seema Khanna expressing gratitude to all contributors who made the event a resounding success.

The organizing committee, faculty members, and supporting staff were acknowledged for their tireless efforts in making it a memorable day. The stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda and Dr. Ashmeen Kaur.
