HMV Conducts Day-2 of AICTE-Approved Three-Day FDP on Value Based Education

Jalandhar April 30 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar witnessed an engaging and insightful second day of its three-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on ‘Universal Human Values’ being conducted under the aegis of Principal Dr Ekta Khosla. The programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. The session commenced on a positive note, focusing on the fundamental purpose of education stating that true education extends beyond the mere acquisition of information and is rooted in right understanding, harmonious relationships, and the balanced development of material well-being.

Key resource persons Mr Jatinder Narula and Ms Rajneesh elaborated on these three dimensions, highlighting their interconnection and equal importance in maintaining balance in life. They also delved into the concept of human consciousness, stressing the need for self-awareness and inner understanding. A significant highlight of the session was the idea of ‘harmony within oneself’. Participants were encouraged to align their thoughts, emotions, and actions. The speaker explained that inner harmony positively influences one’s relationships, social conduct, and interaction with nature.

Programme Coordinator Dr Ramnita Saini Sharda shared that the initiative aims to cultivate right understanding and human values among teachers, making education more meaningful, balanced, and life-oriented. The concluding day will further explore these themes in greater depth. The event was anchored by Dr Jyoti Gogia, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr Sumit Sharma. Various institutions including PTU Kapurthala, Government College Kapurthala, St. Soldier College and DAVIET also participated in this FDP.
