Jalandhar January 27 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, the Student Council of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrated National Girl Child Day with zeal and enthusiasm. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen who was welcomed by Dr. Urvashi Mishra, Dean Student Council, Mrs. Savita Mahindru, Co- Dean along with other members of council with green planter.
This day aimed to raise awareness about the importance of educating and empowering girls, and the event was designed to promote gender equality and inspire young minds. To make the occasion special, small girl children of age group 4-10 years were invited to participate in an entertainment programme specially organized for them.
On the occasion, a variety of games and fun activities were organized like card making, passing the parcel, musical chair, musical statue, balloon relay race, lemon-spoon race, balance-over-head race, over and under balloon race, open mic, dance, etc.. These activities not only entertained the children but also encouraged them to think creatively and work together. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and excitement as the children engaged in friendly games and enjoyed the day. The activities were carefully planned to engage the children in meaningful ways. The council students took the lead in guiding the children through these activities, making sure to create an atmosphere of inclusivity and joy.

It encourages societies to work towards eliminating gender discrimination and empowering girls to reach their full potential. She also appreciated the efforts of student council to make this day more special with children.
At the end, Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen presented gift hampers to all the children and prizes to the winners of the games. The Student Council extends its gratitude to Principal Madam, and all the children who contributed for making this event a success. The children left with smiles on their faces, and many were motivated by the positive messages they received during the day. On this occasion, Dr. Navroop, Dean Youth Welfare, Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics, Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dean Innovation and Institutional Council, Mrs. Jyotika Minhas and Dr. Kajal Puri were also present.
