Jalandhar September 15 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, celebrated ‘Hindi Diwas’ with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour under ‘Hindi Sahitya Dhara’.
To mark the occasion, a lively Nukkad Natak (Street Play) was staged, highlighting the importance, beauty, and growing relevance of the Hindi language in India and across the globe.
Around six students from B.A. and B.Ed. (Hindi) participated in the street play, while nearly forty students attended the event as an audience. The performers celebrated the glory of Hindi and shed light on its ever-increasing popularity both within the country and abroad.
Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar addressed the gathering and encouraged everyone to maximise the use of Hindi as the ‘Raj bhasha’ (official language), ‘Rashtra bhasha’ (national language), and ‘Sampark Bhasha’ (link language).
She lauded the efforts of the Department of Hindi and congratulated the students and faculty members, including Dr. Neena Mittal and Ms. Diwakshi, for successfully organising this meaningful event.
President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr Pooja Prashar extended their warm wishes on the occasion and appreciated the efforts of the Department of Hindi for keeping alive the linguistic and cultural heritage of the nation. They expressed pride in the students’ active participation and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting such initiatives that nurture a deeper respect for India’s national language and promote cultural literacy among young learners.
