Jalandhar August 20 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Six NCC cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College, who proudly represented the institution in the 79th Independence Day parade held at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandhar, were felicitated by the Principal, Dr. Suman Chopra, in her office. The cadets Jaspreet Singh, Jashandeep Singh Chahal, Akash Yadav, Hardeep Kumar, Brij Lali and Chetan Pasi were honoured for their disciplined participation and exemplary performance during the parade. Notably, Cadet Chetani Pasi of B.A. First Year led the NCC contingient, bringing laurels to the college.
On this occasion, Dr. Suman Chopra congratulated the cadets and praised their commitment, discipline, and patriotism. She emphasized that such participation not only enhances the prestige of the institution but also instills in the youth a strong sense of responsibility towards the nation. She further encouraged all students to imbibe the values of dedication and service exemplified by the NCC. Expressing his appreciation, Col. Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer, 2 PB Battalion NCC Jalandhar, said that the cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College have always maintained a tradition of excellence.
He added that their leadership and disciplined performance at the parade reflected the high standards of training imparted by the battalion and the college’s active support to the NCC. The cadets expressed their gratitude towards the college authorities, their Associate NCC Officer, Dr. Karanbir Singh and the 2 PB Battalion NCC Jalandhar for providing them with this prestigious opportunity.
