Jalandhar April 16 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Farewell Party “Launching Stars into the Sky”-2025 for Humanities, Science and Skill students was organized in the premises of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen was the Chief guest for the occasion. The event started with lighting the holy lamp and subsequently following the DAV Gaan. Principal Dr. Sareen was welcomed by the Green Planter. Mr. Sumit Sharma, Mr. Neeraj Aggarwal and Dr. Sahilender Kumar were the incharges for the event. Mr. Sumit Sharma formally welcomed the chief guest of the event, judges, and members of Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff.

The ceremony was graced, further, by a special address from the Principal, who spoke directly to the hearts of the outgoing batch of UG and PG classes. In her inspiring message, she described the students as “stars ready to launch into the sky by HMV”, symbolizing their readiness to shine brightly in the world with the values, knowledge, and experiences nurtured during their time at the college. Her words were not only a tribute to the students’ accomplishments but also a powerful reminder of the potential that lies ahead for them.

The students presented cultural items and showcased their dexterity through Dance, Bhangra and Poetry Recitation. A central attraction of the farewell was the modelling round, in which students showcased their elegance, self-expression, and confidence. The modelling competition was judged by an esteemed panel comprising Mrs. Meenu Kohli, Dr. Sangeeta Arora, and Mrs. Deepshikha, who brought their expertise and impartial judgment to the event, making it a memorable competition for the participants.

Ms. Kanupriya Sharma was selected as the Ms. Fresher of HMV 2025

From undergraduate classes, Ms. Kanupriya Sharma was selected as the Ms. Fresher of HMV 2025 While Kriti Atwal and Shushila Kumari got the title of First and Second runner up respectively. In Addition to this, Ms. Himanshi , Lakshita, and Akriti were given the title of Ms. Innovator, Ms. Creative and Women of Letters respectively. From PG Classes, Mandeep Kaur was chosen as the Ms. Farewell of HMV 2025, while Ms. Ekta and Ms. Jaspreet Kaur were given the title of First and Second runner up of Ms. Farewell respectively. Moreover, Manpreet Kaur and Ms. Komal were given the title of Ms. Charming, and Ms. Glem respectively.

The stage for the event was conducted by Mrs. Protima Mander, Mrs. Loveleen Kaur and by the students of the student council. Their poised stage presence and excellent coordination ensured the smooth flow of events and maintained high energy throughout the programme.The event was concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Shalinder Kumar, who acknowledged the collective efforts of the faculty, students, and organizing committee. He extended his heartfelt appreciation to everyone present over there.
