Jalandhar February 9 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The English Literary Society of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, successfully organised a Creative Writing Competition with the aim of nurturing literary talent and encouraging imaginative expression among students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various streams, who showcased their originality, critical thinking, and command over language through poetry, short stories, and reflective essays.

Students presented their creative pieces on a wide range of thought-provoking topics such as voices of women, the power of silence, nature, and the evolution of society.

These themes enabled the participants to explore personal emotions, social realities, and philosophical reflections with remarkable depth and sensitivity.

The competition provided a vibrant platform for young writers to articulate their ideas and perspectives.

Faculty members of the English Department encouraged the students to view writing as a powerful medium of self-expression and social engagement.

Purnima of BA Semester VI got first position, Mudita of BA Semester VI made it to second position while Sanjana of BA Semester II managed it to third position.

President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr Pooja Prashar extended their wholehearted support to the initiative and appreciated the efforts of the department and its Head Mrs Aabroo Sharma in cultivating creativity and intellectual growth among students.
