Jalandhar March 2 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar feel honored to share that one of its faculty member, Dr. Harpreet Singh, Head PG Department of Bioinformatics, has been bestowed with the Best Science Teacher (Colleges) Award in form of Merit Certificate, Gold Medal and a Cash prize of Rs. 7500/- by the Punjab Academy of Sciences (PAS) during the 28th Punjab Science Congress held at Khalsa College, Amritsar. It is notable to mention here that this prestigious award to the person who has contributed exceptionally well in the field of sciences taking into consideration various components including high impact research, professional development, societal outreach and achievements of the students.
Dr. Harpreet Singh felt motivated to get this honor from Dr. Mehal Singh, Vice Chancellor, Khalsa University, Amritsar, Mrs. Kahlon, Principal Khalsa College, Amritsar, President Prof. Tarlok Singh, Secretary Dr. NR Dhaliwal in the presence of his role models in Science, Prof. Arvind (Former VC Punjabi University Patiala & Professor at IISER Mohali), Prof. Adarsh Pal Vig (Chairman Punjab Pollution Control Board), Prof. Manoj Kumar, Prof. Vandana Bhalla (Professor, Department Chemistry Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar) and Prof. Rajeev Sood (Vice Chancellor Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot).
