Commerce Club of PCM SD College for Women Celebrates Student Innovation in Poster Making

Jalandhar August 22 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The PG Department of Commerce and Management of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar, organized a theme-based Poster-Making competition for the students of B.Com Regular and B.Com Financial Services (FS). The competition aimed to foster creativity and provide a platform to students to brainstorm and innovate. Participants were assigned topics as follows: “India 2047: Viksit Bharat” for B.Com I, “Digital India” for B.Com II and “Your Dream Startup” for B.Com III. The competition was judged by Mrs. Shikha Puri, Dean of the Commerce Club and Assistant Professor in the PG Department of Commerce and Management.

A total of 48 students participated in the competition, showcasing their talents and creativity.

The first prize was awarded to Navneet

The first prize was awarded to Navneet (B.Com I, Roll No. 3022), Simran (B.Com II, Roll No. 3217), Neha (B.Com II, Roll No. 3229), and Neha (B.Com III, Roll No. 3443). The second prize was won by Nishu (B.Com I, Roll No. 3042), Sunakshi (B.Com FS II, Roll No. 302), Simranjit (B.Com III, Roll No. 3430), and Himani (B.Com III, Roll No. 3445). The winners of the Third Prize were Akanksha (B.Com I, Roll No. 3032), Aarti (B.Com II, Roll No. 3228), Lavanya (B.Com FS II, Roll No. 301), Shveta (B.Com III, Roll No. 3442), Shreya (B.Com III, Roll No. 3409), and Chahat (B.Com III, Roll No. 3422).

Consolation prizes were given to Aditi (B.Com I, Roll No. 3018), Deepali (B.Com I, Roll No. 3031), Jiya (B.Com II, Roll No. 3206), Jaanvi (B.Com II, Roll No. 3234), and Anshika (B.Com FS III, Roll No. 503).

The competition was a valuable learning experience, allowing students to explore their creativity and express their ideas visually. The winners were awarded with mementos, and all participants received certificates of participation.

President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar acknowledged the endeavours of the Commerce Club for orchestrating an inspiring event that ignited the spark of creativity and innovation among budding minds, setting a brilliant example for future initiatives.
