Jalandhar April 13 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The festival of Baisakhi was celebrated with great enthusiasm and cultural pride at Innocent Hearts, including its schools, Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, and Innocent Hearts College of Education. The event, based on the theme “Punjabi Culture,” aimed to create awareness among students about the rich cultural heritage of Punjab. Students from the college and the little ones participated actively by dressing in traditional Punjabi attire such as phulkari dupattas, salwar-kameez, kurta-pajama, and turbans. They confidently walked the ramp, capturing everyone’s attention with their vibrant presentation.
Student teachers of Innocent Hearts College of Education highlighted the religious significance of Baisakhi, discussing the establishment of the Khalsa Panth under the leadership of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru. Additionally, students of Class VI showcased energetic Punjabi folk songs and dances, bringing the traditions of Punjab alive on stage with their lively performances. An Inter-House Folk Games Festival was organized for Class IX students, where they enjoyed playing traditional Punjabi games. The celebration beautifully blended education with festivity, strengthening the spirit of unity and cultural appreciation among students.

Furthermore, on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, an Inter-House PowerPoint presentation and quiz were conducted for Class VIII students. Class X students participated in a Constitutional Literacy session, discussing the Constitution and its progress. A special assembly was also held, highlighting the life and contributions of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
