Apeejay’s Dr. Sumit Singh Padam Enchants at Sur Vishwas Sangeet Sammelan, Nashik

Jalandhar September 13 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Dr. Sumit Singh Padam, an eminent Sitarist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Instrumental Music at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, recently enthralled audiences at the prestigious Sur Vishwas Sangeet Sammelan in Nashik, Maharashtra.

Organized by the Vishwas Group in collaboration with the Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad, the Sammelan brought together some of the most acclaimed names in Indian classical music. Dr. Sumit mesmerized the gathering with his evocative renditions of Raag Ahir Bhairav and Raag Miyaan Malhaar, accompanied on Tabla by the renowned Shri Rasik Kulkarni.

Belonging to a distinguished lineage of musicians, Dr. Sumit began his tutelage under his father, Shri Jasbir Singh Padam, and continues to pursue the Guru-Shishya Parampara under the guidance of Pandit Harvinder Sharma, a leading Sitar exponent of the Imdadkhani Gharana.
