Jalandhar April 6 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Once again, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar proved that hard work, sincerity, consistency, and love for art can lead you on the path of success, victory, and accolades. The college that has been the brain- child of Late Dr. Stya Paul Ji, always takes inspiration from his life journey and under the guidance of its able and par excellent leader Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia (President, Apeejay Education) ensures the holistic development of the students. It was moment of sheer pride for the college when students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar represented Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in the National Youth Festival – Hunar held at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana after owning the Zonal and Inter-Zonal Youth Festival championship trophies.
The students of ACFA participated in 14 competitions and with their excellent performances won hearts and bagged First position in 11 competitions, Second in 2 and Third in 1 competition. Dr. Neerja Dhingra (Principal, ACFA) shared that in this National Youth Festival, the students from different 109 Universities from all over India had participated and I can be nothing but proud that our college has won the overall First trophy in Music, Second in Dance and Guru Nanak Dev University has won the overall third position in Cultural Procession. Dr. Dhingra personally congratulated the students and their mentors who had worked day and night for this day.
Deepali stood first in Ghazal singing
It is worth mentioning that Deepali stood first in Ghazal singing, Sahil stood first in Classical Instrumental (Vocal), Sahejdeep Singh stood first in Classical instrumental (Non-percussion), Harsifat Kaur stood first in Western Vocal (Solo), Harpreet Singh stood first in Western Instrumental, Vikas Kalotra stood first in Rangoli. Also, Deepali, Jasleen, Nargis Anjali, Harsifat and Anmol stood first in Indian Group Song and Western Group Song.
Along with these students, Ankush, Ankit, Sanyam, Nirvair Singh and Iqra Sharma stood first in Skit, Ramneesh Kaura stood first in Mimicry, and Navpreet, Mrinal, Vrinda, Nisha, Sneha, Palwinder, Gargi and Yashkiran stood first in Folk Dance, Tanishq Arora stood second in Classical Vocal (Solo), Khushi Sharma stood second in Classical Dance and Prateek Dutt Sharma stood third in Collage.
Dr. Neeraj Dhingra applauded and admired the infinite efforts of Dr. Amandeep Singh (Incharge, Youth Welfare Department, GNDU), Dr. Arun Mishra (Cultural Coordinator of the College), Dr. Amita Mishra (Dean, Youth Festival), Dr. Dr. VivekVerma and Dr. Mickey Verma for guiding the students.
