Apeejayite Sahil Chawla Shines at National Integration Camp in Odisha

Jalandhar March 20 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Sahil Chawla, a sixth-semester B.Voc (Data Science) student and NSS Volunteer from Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, made his institution proud by participating in the prestigious 7-day National Integration Camp held at Berhampur University, Odisha. The camp was organized under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and was sponsored by the Odisha Government’s Higher Education Department and the Punjab State NSS Cell. The event saw the participation of approximately 250 NSS volunteers from across India.

Among the top five students selected from Punjab, Sahil showcased his exceptional talent in the Solo Dance Competition, securing an impressive third position. Representing Punjab, he and his fellow students proudly exhibited the state’s rich cultural heritage through a cultural rally, Jaggo, Bhangra, and folk songs, making it a moment of honor for the delegation.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated Sahil on his outstanding achievement, stating, “Your dedication and hard work are truly commendable. I encourage you to continue excelling in competitions, honing your skills, and making your teachers and parents proud.”

She also extended her appreciation to Dr. Simki Dev, Dean, NSS Wing, for her dedication in guiding and motivating students to engage in extracurricular and cultural activities.

This achievement reflects the institution’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who excel both academically and in extracurricular endeavors.
