Students were guided through systematic procedures of hair cutting
Additionally, students were guided through systematic procedures of hair cutting, including sectioning techniques and the selection of suitable hairstyles in accordance with different face shapes. The session provided a comprehensive understanding of industry standards and real-time salon practices, thereby bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and professional application.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, while reflecting on the significance of such initiatives, remarked that immersive learning environments are instrumental in nurturing professional competence among students. She highlighted that while academic sessions and expert lectures form a strong foundation, on-site training in real-world settings fosters adaptability, eliminates hesitation, and cultivates self-assurance. She further described such engagements as transformative platforms that refine technical acumen and elevate students’ readiness for the dynamic beauty and wellness industry.
Dr. Dhingra also commended the dedicated efforts of Ms. Meenal Sandhu from Department of Fashion and Makeover, for meticulously organising the workshop. She encouraged the continuation of such industry-oriented initiatives to broaden students’ exposure and enhance their professional proficiency.
