Jalandhar February 8 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar came alive with colour, creativity, and entrepreneurial zeal as it organised Spring Fiesta 2026 with great enthusiasm on its campus. The vibrant festival provided a dynamic platform for students to exhibit their artistic talent, innovative ideas, and enterprising skills.
The event was graced by the distinguished presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Mukilan R, IAS, ADC (Development and City Programming), Jalandhar. The fiesta was formally inaugurated with the release of balloons, symbolising hope, creativity, and new beginnings. Setting an auspicious tone, students of the Department of Performing Arts mesmerised the audience with a spiritually uplifting Ganesh Vandana, marked by grace and expressive choreography.
Welcoming the guests, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra highlighted that the institution’s remarkable journey of success is deeply rooted in the inspiration of the Founder Chairman Dr. Stya Pal Ji, the visionary leadership of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and the insightful guidance of Dr. Neha Berlia, Co-owner and Director, Family Business Board, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, and Lead Education Vertical Office Bearer, Apeejay Education. She expressed confidence that the college will continue to set new benchmarks of excellence in the years ahead.
While honouring the Chief Guest, Dr. Dhingra appreciated Shri Mukilan R, IAS for his invaluable contribution towards the city’s development and planning. She remarked that his dedication and positive outlook would inspire students to actively participate in making their city cleaner, greener, and more beautiful. Speaking about Spring Fiesta, she described it as a successful platform that not only nurtures students’ creativity and entrepreneurial spirit but also reinforces the college’s legacy of organising meaningful and high-quality academic and cultural activities.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Mukilan R, IAS expressed his admiration for Apeejay College of Fine Arts, noting its proactive collaboration with the district administration in organising cultural, social, and educational initiatives. He observed that while artificial intelligence is gradually entering creative domains, it is essential to use it consciously and responsibly to preserve originality and human creativity. He further emphasised that meaningful change in society begins with self-transformation and shared that Apeejay students stand out due to their confidence, strong personality, and clarity of expression.
Spring Fiesta 2026 featured a wide range of student-run entrepreneurial stalls showcasing fashionable attire, nail art, jewellery, tarot card reading, and numerology, alongside exciting rides and food stalls that added to the festive spirit. The event also included singing and dance competitions, Tambola, and other recreational activities, ensuring engaging entertainment for all. A lucky draw was organised, and winners of various competitions were felicitated with prizes and certificates.
The stage was smoothly conducted by Ms. Anuradha, Ms Chetna, and Mr. Mohit, whose effective coordination significantly contributed to the event’s success.
